Bookweek 2009/ 4/5P

Today the students at Eastwood Heights PS had a wonderful insight into imagination and storytelling.

We were fortunate to have Mr Boori (Monty) Pryor, a multi-talented performer immerse us into his literature, culture and creativity.
The students were connected to the narration and were delighted by the 'grossness' and humorous weaving of story telling.
The Frog and Crocodile stories, gave the students the opportunity to dramatise a message and explore their understanding of the world around them.
We are so thrilled to meet this genuine and inspirational man and can't wait to read his new book!

Thank you Mr Pryor!

PS Good luck in the Archibald painting venture in 2010!

Welcome Hamid!

4/5P would like to welcome a new student to our class.

Hamid is standing before our cultural background display and
as you can all see, we are are all so diverse and a very multicultural class.

" My class in Iran is very small and here it is very big! I love the yard, ( playground) as it is also very big!'

"My school in Iran starts at 8am and finishes at 1pm. I like being in school until 3:30pm"

"I am happy to be in 4/5P"

We hope Hamid enjoys the wonderful learning experiences in our class and enjoys using the SmartBoard.

Regards
Ms P
